Stage 1 - Great Lakes Forestry Centre - Exterior Stair Reconstruction

Summary

Stage 1 pre-qualification to supply labour, materials and equipment to demolish and replace the exterior stairway at NRCan's Great Lakes Forestry Centre in Ontario. Work includes reinforced concrete stairs and landings, guardrails/handrails, granular base, drainage provisions, landscaping and restoration. Qualified bidders will be invited to submit financial bids in Stage Two.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO BIDDERS TWO STAGE SELECTION PROCESS This is the first stage (Stage one) of a two-stage competition: • the first stage - QUALIFICATION OF THE BIDDER, will evaluate the qualifications of all bidders; • the second stage (Stage two) will invite the qualified bidders to provide a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings. Upon award of contract in Stage Two the pre-qualification list will expire and will not be used in any other solicitation. LIST OF PRE-QUALIFIED BIDDERS A list of pre-qualified bidders from Stage One will not be released. Contract award notice of the successful bidder of Stage Two will be posted on canadabuys.canada.ca Description of Project Under this project, the existing stairs are to be removed, disposed of and replaced with a new stairway of reduced width that complies with all applicable Federal, Provincial, local guidelines and codes. The contractor must supply all labour, materials, equipment and associated work required for the demolition of the existing exterior stair system and subsequent construction of the new exterior stair system, railings, landscaping, and associated site features. The work shall include construction of new reinforced concrete stairs, landings, guardrails, handrails, granular base preparation, drainage provisions, and restoration of all disturbed surfaces and landscaping.
