This first hybrid meeting of the Marine Industry Advisory Committee was held on November 4 th & 5 th , 2021 in Vancouver, BC with virtual access via MS Teams for members not able to attend in person. The successful meeting centered around discussions relating to the following topics: Alignment of build-in-Canada shipbuilding policies across federal and provincial governments Current and future status of Wrecked, Abandoned and Hazardous Vessels (WAHV) Marine HR overall Strategy for Canada Exchange Rate Fluctuation Risk Mitigation in multi-year contracts Greening presentation Decarbonization of Small Boats Bundling in repair contracts Challenges / Opportunities discussion The resulting action register is located at the end of the attached report. The committee's next meeting is planned for late winter 2021/22.
