From the notice
The Strathcona Regional District (Regional District) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to design, supply and install new playground equipment and playground surfacing at Blenkin Memorial Park, located at 970 West Road on Quadra Island, in Electoral Area C of the Regional District. The existing playground equipment was built in the 1990s and is well used and loved by the community. However, the equipment has reached the end of its expected service life and does not meet current Canadian playground safety standards. The Regional District requires all work to be designed and built to conform to the latest applicable playground safety standards (CSA Z614:20), codes and regulations. OPTIONAL SITE VISIT An optional site visit is scheduled to begin at 12:00 PM, Wednesday July 8, 2026, at Blenkin Memorial Park, 970 West Road Quadra Island, British Columbia
