BC Timber Sales has legal obligations to maintain access infrastructure to meet all FRPA and SAFETY (WCB/BC Safe Company) requirements. The East Kootenay Field Team (EKFT) manages hundreds of km’s of resource roads annually. BCTS will work with the Contractor to ensure that road maintenance standards are achieved. This is a solicitation for the Maintenance upgrade of Phillips Ck FSR and the installations of a 15m All Steel Portable Bridge over Rabbit Ck. Phillips Ck FSR is a 20.68km FSR which requires upgrading to meet safe hauling standards. Works include Brushing, Grading, Ditching, and sections of road widening. More detail can be found in Sch C of the contract as well as the Phillips Maintenance Prescription PDF and KMZ provided. Rabbit Creek is a previously deactivated bridge site which currently has a ford in place. The successful bidder will be required to install a 15m ASP Bridge over the creek. Specific details can be found in Sch I of the contract, as well as in the GA & Shop drawings and EMP documents. Cranbrook, British Columbia will be considered the Marshalling Point for this contract.
