Summary
Rehabilitation of EPCOR’s University Farm Combined Trunk 83 — a 1500 mm oval, 22 m deep combined sewer near 109 Street and 61 Avenue NW in the University Farm area, Alberta — repairing concrete degradation and cracking to restore structural integrity and extend service life.
From the notice
University Farm Combined Trunk 83 is a 1500 mm oval combined sewer trunk constructed in 1961, located near 109 Street and 61 Avenue NW within the University Farm area. The trunk is approximately 22 m deep and is a critical component of the combined sewer system, conveying both sanitary and storm flows. Condition assessments completed under EPCOR’s Large Trunk Rehabilitation Program identified deterioration consistent with the age and long term service of the asset, including concrete degradation and cracking. Based on the assessed condition and the importance of the trunk, EPCOR intends to proceed with rehabilitation to restore structural integrity, reduce the risk of further deterioration, and extend the service life of the existing infrastructure.
