Summary
Ontario Health seeks vendors to qualify and establish Master Pricing Agreements for Linear Accelerators (radiation therapy systems) for Ontario hospitals. Ontario Health will negotiate MPAs on behalf of health service providers across Ontario; Ontario Health will not purchase equipment directly.
From the notice
Ontario Health manages the provincial inventory of radiation equipment planning and treatment systems to ensure equitable access to evidence-based, high-quality radiation therapy for the province. To support this work, Ontario Health receives an annual Radiation Equipment Replacement Grant from the Ministry of Health (MOH) to fund the replacement and/or upgrade of aging equipment and systems within the existing inventory. Ontario Health releases the Radiation Treatment Capital Investment Strategy which forecasts the regional requirements of net-new machines. The increasing demand for these treatment modalities, coupled with the aging infrastructure and equipment, necessitates a refresh of provincial pricing agreements. This ensures that Ontario health service providers have access to the most modern and cost-effective equipment and systems. Ontario Health is conducting an open competitive procurement for the purchase of Linear Accelerators within the Radiation Therapy Systems category. Scope of Work The intent for this RFP is to qualify primary Successful Respondent(s) and establish Master Pricing Agreements (MPAs) for the purchase of Radiation Therapy Systems, including treatment machines to support the forecasted demand for the Ontario hospitals. For clarity, Ontario Health will not be purchasing any equipment or services resulting from these agreements. Ontario Health will be negotiating and establishing MPAs on behalf of Ontario health service providers. The health service providers will be responsible for purchasing the approved equipment and services based on the finalized MPAs negotiated by Ontario Health.
