Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors requests the submission of proposals for: YEG RAIL CONNECTION STUDY Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors (the “Province”) requires the services of a Consultant to generate the following studies and deliverables, including a final comprehensive report: Review potential passenger rail connections between the Edmonton International Airport (YEG) and the City of Edmonton’s LRT and mass transit network, including a potential direct connection from the airport to downtown Edmonton; Assess ridership opportunities and how that impacts ridership forecasts (including to/from St. Albert and Spruce Grove) of the 30-Year Network proposed in the Master Plan; Develop and implement a detailed stakeholder engagement plan and undertake the engagement activities (i.e. open houses, information sharing, etc.) identified in the engagement plan; and Identify a recommended corridor for the passenger rail service considering infrastructure and regulatory requirements, phasing for introduction of service, and effective use of public funds.
