RFB for the delivery and installation of one to three above ground steel deck truck weigh scales for the Ministry of Natural Resources. There are four possible locations, however, only three locations will be awarded. Bidders may submit proposals for: 1. One 100 foot x 11 foot weigh scale in Huntsville, Ontario; or 2. One 100 foot x 11 foot weigh scale in Calstock, Ontario; or 3. One 100 foot x 12 foot weigh scale located at White River, Ontario; or 4. One 100 foot x 11 foot weigh scale in Golden Lake, Ontario; or All four weigh scales. Scope of Work Deliver and install up to three (3) Above Ground Steel Deck Weigh Scales from the list of four possible locations (one at Location 1: Huntsville (100 x 11 ft), one at Location 2: Calstock (100 x 11 ft), one at Location 3: White River (100 x 12 ft), and one at Location 4: Golden Lake). In Ontario, weight measurement using scales is the primary mechanism used for measuring timber harvested from Crown lands and is an essential part of the ongoing recovery of Crown timber charges (revenue) as required under the Crown Forest Sustainability Act. The Ministry of Natural Resources manages a large inventory of weigh scale assets across the province. Renewal of aging weigh scale infrastructure is critical for maintaining and enhancing delivery of the scaling program. This procurement is to replace three weigh scales that have reached the end of their life cycle. Each scale is to be delivered to the installation location within 10 weeks of signing the purchase agreement. Installation locations are: 1. Haliburton Forest & Wild Life Reserve Ltd, operating as Huntsville Forest Products in Huntsville, Ontario (1 weigh scale) 2. Lecours Lumber Co. Limited in Calstock, Ontario (1 weigh scale) 3. White River Forest Products Limited Partnership in White River, Ontario (1 weigh scale) 4. Ben Hokum & Son Limited in Golden Lake, Ontario (1 weigh scale)
