Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation (NSLC) requests proposals for an Agency Store as part of its network planning efforts. The NSLC’s policy is to verify the best Agent candidate for any community. As such, the NSLC invites proposals from all businesses interested in selling NSLC beverage alcohol products as an Authorized Agent in the community of Cornwallis and surrounding area in Annapolis County. This will be a five (5) year-round term ending December 31, 2030. The proposed agency location must occur within the generally recognized municipal boundaries of the community, ideally centrally located. Proposed communities shall be no less than 10 kilometers from existing Agency stores and 10 kilometers from existing NSLC retail stores. The population base including seasonal population and overall market potential shall be sufficient to support annual beverage alcohol sales of at least $500,000. Exceptions may be granted to serve remote communities not within 20km from an existing NSLC corporate or Agency store. Operation of an Agency store in a proposed new community shall not significantly impact the viability of other NSLC Corporate or Agency stores in neighboring communities, based on NSLC projections.
