BCTS Skeena (Terrace) is seeking a Professional Services Contractor to provide the following Services: Professional Engineering Consultant Services. Professional Services require the preparation and submission of two general arrangements and site plans for two bridges/sites currently located offshore in the Douglas Channel along the Dala Forest Service Road. Site one previously consisted of a two bridge multi-span crossing. The second bridge has been washed out by flood events. A 21 m steel girder bridge is available as a replacement and ideally, the second span should utilize this structure. A 12m steel girder bridge is located at the second crossing but will need to be assessed for and if necessary, a new design and Site plan will be required utilizing the existing structure. Once commenced, project work shall be continuous unless an alternate work schedule is approved by the Ministry representative. The marshalling point (Base Location) for providing services under this contract is Terrace, British Columbia. Fees and expenses payable under this agreement only include travel to and from the base location and the work site. BCTS will provide transportation via helicopter from Terrace airport to a landing location within reasonable walking distance of the site location. At Dala FSR at 3.12km and Dala FSR 3.40km. The marshaling point is required because access to the work sites at Dala FSR kilometer 3.12 and kilometer 3.40 will be provided by helicopter from the Terrace Airport. Establishing Terrace as the base location provides a central location for personnel to assemble, and coordinate transportation to and from the work sites. It also ensures that travel costs are calculated consistently from the established base location.
