The Sponsors are seeking a Mechanical and Electrical private sector counterparty to deliver the mechanical and electrical portion of the North York General – New Patient Care Tower Project. The NPCT project will create new, purpose-built clinical space for North York General (“NYG”)’s highest acuity programs at the General site (4001 Leslie St.). In total, the NPCT will house 317 private inpatient rooms and increase inpatient bed capacity by approximately 100 beds on the General site. Clinical programs included within the NPCT include: Medical/Surgical Units Critical Care and Respiratory Therapy Inpatient Mental Health Maternal Newborn Program (Triage and Induction, Labour and Delivery, and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) Surgical Services Emergency Department Medical Imaging (Satellite) The NPCT will also include space for select clinical support and support services: Biomedical Engineering Command Centre NYG Foundation Environmental Services Medical Device Reprocessing Department Security In addition to services included within the scope of the NPCT, renovation within the existing hospital is required to enable enhanced operations or growth for select clinical support services to support the net growth in inpatient capacity.
