The Grays Bay Road and Port Project (GBRP or Project) is a proposed deep-water port, aerodrome, and all-season road in the Kitikmeot Region of Nunavut. The port and aerodrome would be located at Grays Bay on the Coronation Gulf along the Northwest Passage, with marine operations during the open-water season from approximately June to October. The 230-kilometre, multi-user all-season road would connect the port to Jericho Station (site of the former Jericho mine). This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is issued by West Kitikmeot Resources Corp (WKR). The purpose of this RFQ is to invite interested Respondents to indicate their interest in, and their qualifications for, the Grays Bay Road and Port – Major Works Project (GBRP or the Project). Respondents shall submit a Response to this RFQ for the opportunity to be evaluated and determined if they will be shortlisted as Shortlisted Respondents. Only Shortlisted Respondents will be sent and be eligible to submit a Proposal for a subsequent Solicitation, if any, regarding this opportunity. WKR intends to prequalify up to three (3) Respondents as Shortlisted Respondents to participate in any subsequent Solicitation.
