DESCRIPTION OF PROCUREMENT Title: Request for Proposals (RFP) for Interior Renovation of Arts, Culture and Media Classrooms and Labs BV490, BV494, AA204, AA205, and, AA206. Description: The Design and Construction Management Department at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) requires general contracting services for the interior renovation of approximately 416 square meters (m2) in rooms BV490, and BV494, of the Bladen Wing Building and rooms AA204, AA205, and AA206 in the Arts and Administration Building for the Department of Arts, Culture and Media. Scope of Work Highlights: Abatement of asbestos containing elbows in ceiling spaces of BV490 and BV494 Demolition of existing ceilings and installation of new ceilings Clean demolition of flooring Provide new flooring New wall partitions Installation of sound cabins Remove old data cabling New electrical receptacles and data ports Provide new cabinetry Provide HVAC modifications Replacement of light fixtures Painting and other finishes Normal hours of work will be from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. All work to be coordinated with the University Project Manager. MILESTONE SCHEDULE Commence the Work August 3, 2026 Substantial Performance March 30, 2027 Occupancy March 30, 2027 Ready-for-Takeover May 30, 2027 EVALUATION CRITERIA The evaluation criteria and weightings to be applied are as follows: Technical Experience and Qualifications (25 points) Project Personnel (15 points) Project Understanding and Schedule (20 points) Financial Pricing (40 points) C. Documentation Completed submitted and signed CCDC 11-2019 Contractor’s Qualification Statement (Pass/Fail) Provided a Surety Agreement indicating a 50% Performance Bond and a 50% Labour and Material Payment Bond.
