PCL/ED, a Joint Venture, acting as the Construction Manager (CM), is inviting Proponents to submit their Statement of Qualifications to pre-qualify to bid on the Decorative Ironwork and Architectural Metal Restoration, Conservation, Replication and Installation of the Centre Block Rehabilitation Project. The project is located at 111 Wellington Street, Ottawa, Ontario. This singular prequalification call will be for various packages including, but not limited to, the packages listed below: TP05L – Decorative Ironwork and Architectural Metal Restoration, Replication and Installation Decorative Metals conservation knowledge inclusive of but not limited to: Capacity to remove/ repair/ replicate heritage metal work; Hand-forged ironwork including decorative foliage elements; Cast iron; Condition assessments and treatment recommendations; Material and finishes testing; Written specifications and on-site mock-up samples; Conservation and restoration; Hot riveting; Drawing out, upsetting; New casting; Sinking, raising; Welding forge type; Welding cast iron; Period assembly techniques: riveting, custom fabrication of specialty or decorative screws and bolts, pinning, collars, mortice and tennon joints.
