Summary
The RM of Taché (east of Winnipeg, Manitoba) seeks consulting proposals to deliver a Brownfield and Greenfield Site Readiness and Investment Capacity Assessment: inventory and assessment of industrial, commercial, agricultural and logistics development sites, and an infrastructure roadmap to support investment and funding applications for long‑term (20‑year) economic growth.
From the notice
The Rural Municipality of Taché ("RM of Taché") invites proposals from qualified consulting firms to undertake a comprehensive Brownfield and Greenfield Site Readiness and Investment Capacity Assessment. Located immediately east of Winnipeg, the RM of Taché is strategically positioned along the Trans-Canada Highway (PTH 1) and is home to the nationally recognized Centre of Canada. The municipality is one of Manitoba's fastest-growing regions and benefits from proximity to Winnipeg, CentrePort Canada, the Perimeter Highway, international trade routes, and existing Canadian National (CN) rail infrastructure. The Municipality seeks to identify and assess all industrial, commercial, agricultural, logistics, and strategic development lands and determine their readiness to support future investment. This project will provide a detailed inventory of potential development sites and establish an infrastructure roadmap that will position the RM of Taché for sustainable economic growth over the next twenty years. The study will support future applications to Manitoba Water Services Board, Manitoba Infrastructure, Prairies Economic Development Canada (PrairiesCan), Invest Manitoba, and other provincial and federal funding programs.
