DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK: Manitoba Hydro is issuing this Request to seek the submission of competitive Proposals for the Supply and Delivery of Custom Designed Shipping Crates. Manitoba Hydro is seeking these services to support the shipment of bushings, current transformers, potential transformers, and other associated electrical utility components. These items may be shipped for purposes including storage, testing, repair, or refurbishment, to domestic and international destinations, including but not limited to the United States and Europe. Manitoba Hydro is seeking to engage a qualified shipping crate fabricator that is fully compliant with IPPC ISPM 15 requirements to support the international shipment of bushings and transformers. The intent of this procurement is to establish a primary contractor to provide ISPM 15–compliant wood packaging and crating services, as well as a secondary contractor to be utilized in the event the primary contractor is unable to perform the required services. MANDATORY CRITERIA: All proposals/tenders must meet all of the following criteria, in Manitoba Hydro’s determination, in order to proceed to the second stage of the evaluation process: Certified and authorized to produce wood packaging material in full compliance with IPPC ISPM 15, including heat treatment and application of the official IPPC mark.
