The Owner invites bids for construction of the Work, which in general terms, will consist of the following: • Removal and disposal of existing filter media from the six (6) existing manganese greensandpressure filters. • Internal inspection of filter vessels, underdrain systems, distributors, nozzles, strainers, and associated internal components. • Optional work includes replacement of damaged or fouled components within the pressure filter. • Replacement of filter media, including manganese greensand, anthracite, gravel and torpedo sand in the six (6) pressure filters, completed sequentially to maintain potable water production. • Chlorination and bacterial testing of pressure filters. The Successful Bidder will be required to enter into a CCDC 2 (2020) Stipulated Price Contract.
