Summary

Healthcare Excellence Canada (Ontario) seeks proposals to provide coaching and implementation support for the two-year "Advancing Cultural Safety Together" learning collaborative. Contractor will support expert coaches and participating healthcare teams to implement the Cultural Safety Pathway tool through virtual and in-person learning, coaching, and peer-to-peer networking.

From the notice

HEC has launched a new tool to support health service delivery organizations to address racism experienced by First Nations, Inuit and Métis and improve cultural safety. The Cultural Safety Pathway tool includes an organizational assessment. The assessment provides a practical, actionable way for healthcare organizations to identify strengths, gaps, opportunities and priorities for addressing racism and advancing cultural safety. 6 Designed to mirror the seven steps and stepping stones of the HEC’s Cultural Safety Pathway, the tool supports reflection, guides planning, informs action and celebrates progress toward a culturally safe health system. The assessment’s structure is a series of rubrics that describe progress along a continuum using a developmental evaluation framework: cultivating, emerging, growing and thriving. The continuum allows organizations to understand where they sit and what improvement looks like over time. Vendors are invited to submit their Proposal for providing implementation support to coaches and participating teams in the Advancing Cultural Safety Together learning collaborative. The Advancing Cultural Safety Together learning collaborative is a two-year program to support healthcare organizations to implement the Cultural Safety Pathway tool. Participating teams will receive support from expert coaches, virtual and in-person learning activities, and peer-to-peer networking.
