Ottawa Community Housing (OCH) offers approximately 15,500 homes to about 33,000 tenants, including seniors, families, individuals, and people with disabilities. These homes are located in various communities throughout Ottawa and house a diverse population with different languages, cultures, and ethnicities. OCH is Ottawa’s primary community housing provider, managing two-thirds of the city’s housing portfolio and ranking as the second largest in Ontario. In 2025, OCH earned recognition for the eighth consecutive year as one of the National Capital Region’s Top Employers. For more information: www.och-lco.ca OCH build and preserve strategic priority includes the delivery of 300 – 500 homes per year. To support delivery of this strategy, OCH requires the services of qualified Architects licensed with the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) acting as the prime consultant (“the Architect”). This Request for Prequalification (RFPQ) is issued by OCH to establish a roster of ten (10) to sixteen (16) Architects, with the work divided into two streams of five (5) to eight (8) Architects per stream. The purpose of establishing this roster is to have prequalified Architects available to respond to subsequent Request for Proposals (RFP’s) as follows: Stream 1: multi-residential, mid-rise and high-rise (6 storeys + / 100-300+ homes) Stream 2: multi-residential, low-rise and mid-rise (3-6 storeys, with potential for < 9 storeys / 20-150+ homes) Respondents may only be prequalified in one stream.
