Summary
Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) in Ontario seeks a service provider to provide stakeholder and community engagement, strategic advisory and public-relations support, including Indigenous engagement capacity, to implement its External Relations and Indigenous Engagement frameworks during system transformation.
From the notice
The IESO is seeking to secure a Service Provider to complement and enhance its stakeholder and community engagement capabilities during a period of significant growth, system transformation, and increasing attention and complexity in the IESO’s work. The Service Provider shall provide independent insight, specialized expertise, strategic advisory services, and additional capacity to support the IESO's engagement objectives and priorities. The Service Provider shall support the IESO in implementing and advancing its External Relations Engagement Framework and Indigenous Engagement Framework by helping to strengthen relationships with Indigenous communities and organizations, municipalities, sector participants, governments, customers, industry associations, local communities, and other key stakeholders. Eligibility Requirements: In accordance with the Ontario Government’s Procurement Restriction Policy in force at the time of this RFP, Proponents that are US Businesses, as defined in Part 1.4 of this RFP, are not eligible to participate. Any Proposal received from a Proponent that is a US Business will be disqualified and will not be evaluated. Proponents that are a subsidiary of or controlled by a US Business, for which the subsidiary employs at least 250 full-time employees in Canada are eligible to participate. Subsidiaries of a US Business that employ fewer than 250 full-time employees in Canada are not eligible to participate and will be disqualified from review.
